Middle Aged Gaming 2020's the Game Show: The Gold of the Indies

As a small time podcast, how could we not share the love with some our favorite small time games. That's right, today we're covering games made by independent developers (or "indies" for short). Today's three categories are something, old, something current, and something new. So listen closely because you might just discover and hidden gem.

Darkest Dungeon (Old)

Work your way through this dungeon delver. Make sure to keep your wits about you because you're gonna need 'em. Merging classic turn based combat with a sanity mechanic, this game is great for those who love a challenge and macabre mechanics.

Untitled Goose Game (Current)

Have you ever dreamed of what it would be like to be a goose?

Windbound (Current)

Set sail for parts unknown in this island hopping survival game. Hoard resources, build tools, and improve your boat as you navigate this procedurally generated world to reunite with your people.

Black Myth: Wukong (New)

Taking liberally from Journey to the West, this game will follow Sun Wukong ("Monkey" for those who've read certain English translations) in a much grittier version of this classic Chinese tale.

It's still early but it's looking like this may be another soulsborne style game. We don't have much information yet but keep an eye on it until it relea
