We glorify God when we live Christlike lives, characterized by obedience.

Living Christlike lives means:

1. Loving like Christ.

  • Luke 6:27 “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
  • Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
  • Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

2. Looking like Christ.

  • Luke 6:41 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye?
  • Philippians 2:4-5 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
  • 2 Corinthians 4:18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

3. Being under the Lordship Christ

  • Luke 6:46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?
  • Romans 1:1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God
  • 2 Corinthians 4:5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.
