Most of the area schools have their last day this week, and summer vacation begins for students in and around Erie.  What are our kids doing with their summers?  What about the kids who are food-insecure?  We talked Brad Whitman, director of federal and state programs for the Northwest Pennsylvania Intermediate Unit, and Tammy Roche, vice president of marketing, membership and development for the YMCA of Greater Erie, about their summer lunch and other food programs available for free throughout our region.  Then we had a conversation about summer jobs and the Summer Jam program with Ben Wilson, GECAC division manager for workforce development services; and Gary Lee, Director of Administration for Erie County.
