Jerlyn Thomas is a VP of product design, design director, and published author/illustrator. As a technophile harnessing a wide range of global objectives, her current projects include inclusivity and accessibility of design, overcoming accessibility restrictions, and an annual awareness of black history month. Jerlyn’s focus is bridging the gap between technology and art by imposing her humanistic illustrative technique.
Jerlyn is known for creating a digital experience and attention-grabbing art that amplifies the human purpose by concentrating on inclusivity and accessibility of design. She consistently communicates to and reaches a growing and diverse demographic.
Growing up on the island of Dominica, Jerlyn learned from an early age the importance of inclusivity and accessibility within her community. If there were ever a neighbor that she failed to greet when coming home from school, her mother would be made aware of it. The childhood teachings of empathy and love embodied by her native land translated to her inspirational work in the disabled community. Following a life-changing encounter with a disabled woman, Christina Mallon-Michalove, Jaelyn decided to accelerate her knowledge of access restrictions and how she could improve experiences for people like Christina through accessible technology.
