The Big Guy started off the week by discussing Cowboy Builders.
According to research into the Citizens Advice Bureau, complaints have risen by 31 per cent. He spoke to Graham Nash from Pinnacle Builders about how he tackled Cowboy builders along with Rico Wojtulewicz -Head of housing and planning policy at the NFB and MP Mark Garnier.
Clive then focused on 'Modular Homes' and if they could be the government's answer to help out with the 300,000 a year target of building homes. He also asked if tradespeople would be willing to retrain? He spoke to Ian Hodgkinson, Mark Farmer CEO and Founder of Cast Consultancy and Steve Cole, Head of Policy at Make UK Modular.
Then Clive discussed the topic of Fraud In the industry. There was a massive increase in this over the pandemic. He spoke to Robert Brooker, Head of Fraud and Forensics at PKFGM and also chair of the London Fraud Forum and John Argyle from Enfield Refurbishments who was caught out by fraud himself.
And to finish off proceedings, The Big Guy discussed 'What your least favorite job is onsite. He heard some excellent stories from builder Danny Madden, Mr. London plumber Jayson and bricklayer Stuart Horn. Clive also had some great messages from our listeners on each of our topics this week.
