1. The U.S. Army found that if you consume caffeine (coffee) it provides consistent energy for effectively if you drink small amounts over the day rather than 1 jug of coffee in the morning.

2. Exercise. Walk, run, cycle whatever. Just get the body moving.

3. Avoid a NIG HEAVY lunch. A big Cal, big carb lunch will only ensure an afternoon slump.  Keep it light at Lunch. 

4. Sleep regular hours. Dr Matt Walker in the book “Why we sleep” says the biggest thing you can do for your sleep is to keep to regular hours. For me it’s 9.30pm bed, 5.30am up.

Regular is more important than the time. 

5. Have a cut off time for work and do a brain dump at the end of the day. Get all your worries and priorities down on paper. It’s better there than rolling around your mind
