Episode 3 of this very special The Zero Period and Melting Pot collaborative series is an important conversation with Simran Nanda an upcoming social worker with a focus on sexuality education, gender-based violence, and universal human rights.
Since the age of 14, Simran has been an active advocate and ally in raising awareness for LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusion. She is currently a sexuality educator at Zero Period, designing and delivering programmes on sexuality education to school teachers across a wide range of demographics.
This led to her association with the Pratisandhi Foundation, a youth-led NGO dedicated to the promotion of sexual rights and awareness where she worked as a program manager, public speaker, and curriculum designer, which allowed her to delve deeper into the cause of an educational intervention to introduce a curriculum in sexual education in an age-appropriate manner.
