Even though Thanksgiving was not necessarily part of the Lord's Prayer, it was certainly a prominent pattern in Jesus' own prayer life and in the apostle's instructions on how we should pray. Given it's significance, we need to understand how and why we should offer thanksgiving in our prayers, even when we find ourselves with supposedly little to be thankful for.
