The Fullback: Matriculatin’ the Ball Down the Field

Fullback is a hard-work, no-glory position on the offense. Among other things he blocks defenders to create clear paths for the running back. He sets the running back up to succeed. He seldom gets to touch the ball. But, oh, how a good fullback can help deliver sweet victory.

There was a guy, who lived in Jesus’ time, who had a fullback mentality. His name was John, and people called him “John the Baptizer” or “John the Baptist.” He was the fullback to Jesus’ running back. And he did his job very well. So well that we’re gonna spend four weeks breakin’ down film on this guy.
