In Italy to introduce “Wish“, their latest Disney Movie coming out on December 21st, producers Peter Del Vecho (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones (“Encanto”) prove how the film is the perfect celebration of Disney Animation Studios’ 100th Anniversary.
Directed by Oscar®-winning director Chris Buck (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Raya and the Last Dragon”), the film is homaging the Disney tradition of quality animation and values by portraying a story about the power of wishes and how they should be put out there into the world to really come true.
As the film combines some traditional and classic Disney animation styles with the newest techniques, it is moving as it reminds us of all the Disney movies we grew up with and powerful as it relies on universal concepts that make Disney and its audience stronger than ever: representation, diversity, family, friendship, dreams, hopes and finally, love.
It is not only the story of a young heroine, Asha but it also shows us how we should always remember our wishes as they define us and who we can be in life. “It’s never too old to make your dreams come true” says Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones.
