San Francisco's transportation landscape is at a pivotal moment as residents express a strong desire to shift towards more sustainable and active modes of travel. A poll out of the non-partisan organization, GrowSF, reveals that city residents show a growing interest in riding the Muni, walking, and cycling to get around. 
 
However, the lasting financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, like reduced ridership and big revenue shortfalls, present some real challenges. As the city deals with these issues, officials have been working on new ways to meet residents' needs, like the Valencia bike lane project or car free zones.
