Now, I know this might sound like common sense, but too often, we find ourselves doing things we don’t want to do. Maybe it’s because we feel obligated, or we don’t want to disappoint someone, or we’re afraid of what might happen if we say no.
But here’s the thing, when we do things we don’t want to do, it drains our energy and takes away from the things we actually enjoy and care about. It can also lead to resentment and frustration.
So, it’s important to set boundaries and prioritise your own wants and needs. Ask yourself, “Do I really want to do this?” If the answer is no, then don’t do it.
Now, of course, there are times when we have to do things we don’t want to do, like going to work or doing chores around the house. But even in those situations, we can shift our mindset and focus on the bigger picture. Maybe going to work isn’t enjoyable, but it allows us to provide for our family and pursue our passions outside of work.
So, remember, it’s okay to say no and prioritise your own wants and needs. You deserve to live a life that brings you joy and fulfilment.
