On Saturday September 14th, Los Angeles Football Club (19-7-4) tied the Philadelphia Union (15-7-8) 1-1 on the road in Chester, Pennsylvania. The black and gold had its full roster available for the first time in a few weeks, but were still evenly matched by the Union, who took an early lead before Carlos Vela equalized just before halftime in his first match back from injury.
LAFC now prepares to face Toronto F.C. in Banc of California Stadium this Saturday evening. Just four matches remaining in the 2019 regular season, and its been four matches without a victory for LAFC. The black and gold want to return to its winning ways, but the team has to balance winning now with positioning for the postseason.
Ryan Wallerson of the Southern California News Group (Daily News) & Alex Dwyer of MLSsoccer.com break down LAFC's performance against Philly, discuss the positive effects a late season slump can have on a team heading into the playoffs and preview the match on Saturday against Toronto.
