With James Gunn's Superman flying toward theaters and hailing the start of the DCU, we get a look at the followup to Peacemaker once again featuring John Cena, and giving us first looks at new DC characters played by Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Nathan Fillion + Frank Grillo in live action as Rick Flag Sr. along with the rest of the returning & much-loved ensemble; hinting at both even greater personal stakes and clues as to how Peacemaker could fit into the new DCU, this trailer was an absolute blast!! Next we check out the 4th & final film in the flagship Series in The Conjuring Universe centered around Ed & Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilso & Vera Farmiga). The Conjuring: Last Rites is based on the Warrens' final & most harrowing case & returning director Michael Chaves has us hopeful for a chilling & fitting sendoff to Hollywood's favorite ghost-hunting power couple. And finally, director Francis Lawrence breaks free from The Hunger Games to adapt a Stephen King novel with a sinister & strikingly simple setup -- as a group of teenage compete in an annual contest with chillingly simple rules: Walk or Die. The film looks tense & unsettling, not least because Mark Hamill (Star Wars, Batman: The Animated Series, srsly SO MUCH freakin' iconic stuff) appears to be giving a chilling turn as the boys' dastardly drill-sargeant. Starring Alien Romulus' David Jonsson, Licorice Pizza's Cooper Hoffman, & a cast of upcomers - here's hoping we have another strong Stephen King adaptation on our hands!!
