My guest today, Natasha Briffa is an APHRA Registered Psychologist who specializes in working with individuals living with borderline personality disorder (BPD). She also has an interest in working with individuals who have complex trauma and eating disorders. Natasha has primarily worked in the public mental health service and NGO sector with adults and adolescents, and currently works in private practice.
In this episode, Natasha shares the meaning of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), the different features of BPD, symptoms for people struggling with mental health challenges that need help in an emergency department, and how acceptance of mental health struggles help in recovery. She also talks about other mental health challenges that are associated with Borderline Personality Disorder.
Natasha reminds us that BPD is a common disorder that can be treated. With the help of a trained mental health professional, individuals with BPD can learn to manage their symptoms, improve their relationships, and lead fulfilling lives.
