We begin with Maleficus’s remarkable family history: his grandfather, Lt. Col. J. Cray Scott of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, fought in the Boer War, commanded in WWI at the Somme, and later became a campaigner for social credit and author of Hidden Government (1954). We explore the Boer War from the Boer perspective, trench warfare realities, the Somme’s tactics, and how wars are financed—touching on grand narratives, manufactured scarcity, and the "one wallet" idea behind modern conflicts. From there, we dig into government overreach, the erosion of community, and the case for localism and parish-level resilience. Survival Steve outlines a moral framework (non-aggression and self-defence) and why understanding natural law is key to freedom, while listeners share experiences of frayed public services and the importance of authentic, on-the-ground mutual aid. We veer into diet and health (keto, real food, gut health), old-school craftsmanship, Cornish lore, numerology cameos, and the role of faith—distinguishing personal spirituality from institutional religion. It’s spirited, humorous, and candid: a tour through living memory, lost craftsmanship, and practical paths to rebuilding community dignity—rooted in truthful history, moral courage, and local action.
