How do we get back to reality after a dream vacation?
How do we get back to all the responsibilities without feeling overwhelmed or sinking into depression, anxiety, overeating or any other buffer we use to avoid facing reality?
Let me share with you my experience after my vacation and how I overcame my depression to slowly, lovingly and patiently got myself back at full power.
Sometimes we need to evaluate our wants and haves and really determine why we want to do what we do.
These reasons are what will motivate us to be true to ourselves and live our values everyday, because it is easy to get caught up in feeling like a victim of the circumstances and feel like you "have" to do things. Noticing why we want to will empower us and liberate us from depending on a buffer to relieve the weight off our shoulders.
The truth is in the middle of we do and we don’t.
Of course we don’t love this part but this is called parenting and this is the part where we get to be the parents and show up as the best version of ourselves for our children.
