Episode 54 with DJ Smoke Dogg & DJ Smoove

In Episode 54 we kicked off a brand new year, a brand new season and a brand new year! Welcome to Season 3! Welcome to 2022! Welcome to January's theme: the DJs. To kick off the year right, we had 2 special guests both from I.C.E. Squad Entertainment, DJ Smoke Dogg & DJ Smoove. These brothers shared their start into the music and DJ business and how paying dues played a significant part to their appreciation for the art as well as their foundation. DJ Smoove reminded us of the 5 elements of Hip-Hop and how we participated in each element before eventually committing solely to DJing. DJ Smoke shared his early experiences setting up speakers for DJs he aspired to one day be compared to. DJ Smoke's career began in Miami while DJ Smoove started in New York. Both of these men come from different backgrounds, shared different experiences dating back to the 90s but both found themselves unified together as official in-house DJs for I.C.E. Squad Ent. In this episode we laughed ( as always) but also dove into the importance of experience, learning and having a strong support system.
