The book of Nehemiah ends on a bit of a downer. After all the work of rebuilding and lots of great leadership lessons for us 21st century folks, the prophetic hope of renewal and transformation given by Jeremiah is no where near complete. The book of Nehemiah ends with frustration and spiritual apathy.
