વ્રત કથાઓ- સ્ત્રીઓને દર મહિને પીરિયડ્સ આવે છે અને એવું કહેવામાં આવે છે કે તે દરમિયાન અન્ય પ્રજાતિઓ જેમ કે કીડા, વૃક્ષો વગેરેને નુકસાન થાય તેવી ક્રિયાઓ થઈ શકે છે, તેથી આ સમય દરમિયાન કોઈપણ નુકસાન માટે ક્ષમા માંગવા માટે સમા પચમનું આ વ્રત સ્ત્રીઓ દ્વારા સમા ખાવાથી કરવામાં આવે છે.
