"The Glory of Christ"
2 Corinthians 5:6-7
2 Corinthians 4:3-6

There are two ways we will behold God's glory: by faith in this world, and by sight in the next. All our present comfort as believers starts with beholding the glory of Christ by faith. It is beholding the glory of Christ that changes us. The view of Christ in this world is obtained through faith, though we see and experience God dimly as through a poorly polished mirror. In heaven, however, we will see God by sight, face to face. On this side of the veil, however, we can nevertheless be changed by his glory via the ordinances of faith: prayer, reading of the scripture, meditating on scripture, the sacrament of baptism, and the Lord's supper.

6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 3:4-6

4 Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
