Mike Green is the head men’s basketball coach at Salem Community College in South Jersey. The 2024-25 season was his first full season at the head of the program, and he led the Mighty Oaks to a 26-8 record and the program’s first ever appearance in the NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, where they earned a fifth-place finish. As a player, the Philadelphia native was a standout at Franklin Learning Center and played at Towson and Butler in college – helping Butler to a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Following college, Green played pro basketball for a dozen years overseas.

In Episode #251 of “1-on-1 with Matt Leon,” Matt welcomes Green in studio to talk about his life in hoops. They discuss his team’s success this past season, look back at his playing days, talk about his favorites stops he made while playing overseas and much more.
