Most successful podcasters share the same handful of things in common:
- They know how to stay focused on publishing consistently
- They have mentors and other successful peers they can turn to for advice
- They continue to look for ways to improve their craft
But with podcasting in particular, I have noticed that the most successful hosts have one habit in common: Consistency.
What Podcast Consistency Creates
- Trust: Committing to a regular schedule demonstrates to listeners that you are dedicated to providing valuable content and can be relied upon to continue doing so.
- Audience: When listeners know when to expect new episodes, they are more likely to tune in and engage. This leads to an increase in listenership and a growing audience over time.
- Engagement: Allows for a deeper level of engagement with listeners, as they have more opportunities to tune in and engage with the content. This leads to increased comments & shares.
- Brand Awareness: Establishes your brand and increases awareness of the podcast among potential listeners.
- Community: Builds a sense of community among listeners, as they tune in to new episodes and engage with the content on a regular basis.
- Revenue: As listeners tune in and engage with the content on a regular basis, this can open the door to more sponsorships and advertising opportunities.
- Authority: Establishes the host as an authority in their field, as listeners tune in week in and week out. This can lead to more speaking engagements, consulting opportunities, and other forms of professional growth.
