The Great Search: Bright Side-emitting Infrared SMT LED

For a small STEMMA board we designed and prototyped, we'd like to have it emit powerful IR pulses to turn on/off remote control devices. We've used through-hole IR LEDs before, they are interesting in that they are usually pulsed at 100mA-1A of current (not your regular 20mA)!
However, for this design to stay easy-to-use, we need to source SMT LEDs. So let's find a bright (80mW/sr or greater), infrared (940nm wavelength), side emitting LED.
