Our next Now Boarding episode is with the very versatile Barney Swans.
Barney is the CEO and co-founder of Climate Force. Through regional collaboration and International expeditions, Climate Force offers simple opportunities to develop more responsibly within their businesses, lifestyles and schools.
Listen to Barney talk about how collective effort towards the rapid climate change is at an all time high.
Barney is currently based in Far North Queensland, Australia, pioneering a venture to restore acres of the world’s oldest rainforest, Daintree, through planting 360,000+ native trees. Prior to founding the charity ClimateForce, Barney skied 1000km over 60 days to the South Pole, hauling a sled with supplies and shelter. Surviving off innovative technologies including a NASA-designed solar ice melter, biofuels made from waste products, and solar-powered batteries.
With a spirit of collaboration, he connects audiences to better understand their footprint, encouraging nature-based solutions to reduce and restore negative environmental impact. Barney explains to our host Payal in detail that if one can survive with minimal resources in an extreme landscape like Antarctica, we can develop more sustainably all around the globe.
