Trump: Showman or Statesman?

Donald Trump is running for the GOP nomination to become President of the
United States. I sense for him, this is less about a political calling or mission and more about ego fulfillment in attempting to attain the most powerful position on the planet. The presidential race is the ultimate high stakes competition. Trump is the epitome of egotism and narcissism. He is the shock jock showman of politics and the big non-stop talker, although he is not all talk.. he is a man of action. Trump makes for the perfect talk radio guest and for that matter perhaps talk host. At times watching Trump in the debates it seems to me as though I am watching a celebrity roast or SNL comedy skit (well that too has just happened) or perhaps a reality game show. He surely spikes the TV debate ratings and spices things up. His brand of talk bluster is brash and bold, brazen and belligerent. His hubris and opulent lifestyle repulses many; while others regardless, find him charismatically charming. His decades spent living in the glare of the media has prepared him well for this grandest stage of all. Trump is an extremely popular and beloved public figure in many circles who commands the spotlight and scrutiny due to his powerful persona, immense publicity and notoriety. He is fearless and ferocious and he’ll compete well in this blood sport...
