Even in the dead of an Erie winter, with the Omicron variant raging, we are starting to see green shoots when it comes to the live music scene in Erie. So on our Fun Friday broadcast, we turned to a few of the artists making music happen to get their perspective. We first chatted with Corey Cook, Director of Operations & Logistics for the Erie Downtown Development Corporation, about the Flagship City Food Hall's new live music series on Thursday evenings. Then we spoke with Erie singer-songwriter Brooke Surgener about her music career and opportunities she has experienced here. Next was Clint Jones, singer and lead guitarist for Night Circus, shared his thoughts about Erie's music scene. Finally, Angelo Phillips joined us, who during the depth of the pandemic performed live Sunday concerts on Facebook to a large following.
