This is a story of a mother on a mission. A mission to to change an industry and a culture. Meet Audrey Sanchez, Executive Director and Founder of Balanced. This story begins with the birth of Audrey's daughter and the pull to make the world a better place for her.
Becoming a mother changed everything for her including a shift of her focus shifted to public health and our food system.
As a former educator, she knew firsthand the impact that nutrition has on the quality of a child's life. She watched parents struggle to feed their children well in a food system designed to create disease with highly processed foods. Hence came the motivation to change things and the birth of Balanced.org, a place to learn how every day parents can learn how to advocate for healthy school meals.
