2022 Midterm Election Coverage: Ukiah City Council Candidates Forum

October 13, 2022--There are five candidates running to fill three seats on the Ukiah City Council: Incumbents Juan Orozco, Mari Rodin and Jim Brown are all running to keep the seats they now occupy. And challengers Susan Sher and Thao Phi are newcomers running to replace them.

On September 26, The Mendocino Women’s Political Coalition, American Association of University Women and the Mendocino Voice Newspaper co-sponsored a Ukiah City Council Candidates Forum. As part of KZYX’s local election coverage, we broadcast an hour long excerpt of the forum. 

The moderator of the forum is Wendy De Witt. The Candidates Forum lasted almost 90 minutes, and began with opening statements, questions from the sponsors, and then opened up for questions from the audience.
