"Side A" of this episode is about Ramsay MacDonald, the first Prime Minister of the UK for the Labour Party what was in the 1920's considered the most radical elements of society. He becomes the sometimes forgotten proponent of the special relationship with America.

"Side B" is about the 1982 Gold Commission, The obscure commission which during the Reagan administration and with the support of Alan Greenspan, put the nail in the coffin on 19th century ideas of the gold standard, but not without some consideration and a few arguments till today.
