What’s your dash? I was thinking about tombstones and how they tell you the beginning and end of a person. It may say something like born in 1/1/1800-(dash) 3/3/1890.
I was praying recently at a memorial for our lost loved ones and I often think about how because of my faith I know I will see them again and that brings me comfort. But then I thought about what about those we leave behind?
What will they say about the Dash in-between our two dates?
I know for certain I don’t want it to be about how I died and how sad that is. I want it to be about how I lived.
How did I affect you? How did I befriend you? What was my reputation on this earth?
I don’t need to be famous, although I want a reputation that is richer than gold.
