Tony Lewis almost gave up on professional baseball for good as he sat on a beach in Florida with his cleats on. Instead, he got on a plane for an overseas trip that would start an independent baseball odyssey and a journey of discovery that would later influence the formation of the Grip 'N Rip Baseball League in Ozark, Missouri.
