Today on the Friends in Beauty Podcast we welcome Montie Green to the Friends in Beauty guest chair. Montrelle "Montie" Green founded Velvet Wax and Beauty, Hampton, VA's first unisex waxing and sugaring salon in 2014. Velvet now has two locations, one in Hampton, VA and the second in Alexandria, VA opens December 1, 2020.
Montie loves to share insights on entrepreneurship, beauty and social media with aspiring professionals. Montie holds a B.A. in Public Relations from Howard University and a MBA from the University of Maryland. Montie is a licensed cosmetologist and sugaring educator. As a marketer and communications professional, she worked with Johnson and Johnson, McDonald’s and Howard University. Montie began her beauty career as a beauty blogger and makeup artist. Today, Montie’s beauty publications have been seen on Essence.con, Styleblazer.com and MadameNoire.com. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., loves dogs and health and fitness.
