Our first release of 2019 comes from https://soundcloud.com/charlesmurdoch, a very talented and enigmatic producer from our hometown of Brisbane. Charlie is a former bandmate of ours, one half of Super Fun Bumper Edition (our very first release), and more recently working behind the scenes mixing Maia's EP - it's safe to say he is part of the family.
The thing we love most about Charles Murdoch is that although his sound has evolved over the years, he has always stayed true to his modus operandi: ethereal, yet subtle electronica. Recently, Charlie has continued to expand his sonic palette by experimenting with a modular rack synth, which has clearly influenced his latest EP. As a result, "WTBL" signals a shift away from his familiar beat driven melodies, to engender raw, modulated techno made for early morning raving.
Charlie's new EP is further proof that this versatile producer has a bright future, and will be energizing dance floors around the world for years to come.
