LAFC Season Pass S01/E023: Carson Galaxy Review, The Dog Days of Summer, Atlanta United Preview
On Friday, July 19th, Los Angeles Football Club (14-4-3)lost the fourth iteration of the L.A. Clasico in a 3-2 defeat against the crosstown Galaxy. The black and gold were once again outshone by Galaxy star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored a hat trick in the match to win the game, despite two goals from MVP front runner Carlos Vela.
LAFC have little time to lick their wounds, however. On Friday July 26th, defending champion Atlanta United storm the Banc for their first match against Los Angeles. LAFC will be hoping for a better result against reigning MVP Josef Martinez and the five stripes than the 5-0 drubbing LAFC took in Atlanta last season. More importantly the team will look to shake any notions that it can't win big games, a popular theme in the media following last weekend's loss in Carson.
