- Awards: The Canadian Podcast Awards are open for entry. The awards started in 2018, and now have 31 categories.
- A new podcast awards has launched in the UK. The Political Podcast Awards is open for entry now, and will take place on Jan 29. It’s (curiously) sponsored by Google, which closed its podcast app earlier this year.
- In Australia, iHeart and Magellan AI have launched “a new industry award” which recognises the ad agency which has spent the most money in podcasting ads.
- Podtrac has announced a “predictive promo planner” - to provide insights for publishers who place ads in other podcasts to promote their shows. It’ll identify the podcasts which work best for each show.
- Captivate has relaxed limits on its private podcasts feature. Now, every podcaster can have up to 100 private podcasts and up to 50,000 private subscribers.
