I took this picture in Albuquerque. I am always afraid these folks are going to get hit by a car. Does not this picture break your heart? If you have become ‘cold’ toward the homeless, check in with JESUS.

I do not pretend to have the answer to this growing problem in America.

Gretchen and I went to Phoenix over Father’s Day to see the Minnesota Twins play the Diamondbacks! Gretchen treat to her Daddy! I was so very sadden seeing all the homeless folks on the streets, sleeping on the sidewalks, even children!, it devastated me. So many young people in distress. So many men yelling out and screaming things! I did not know what to do.

Yesterday Lars and I had lunch in Albuquerque….I lost my appetite…. all the homeless people in the area…….tents set up on the side street………young people lost…….rubbish all over the streets….Police across the street…….boarded up businesses….

What are we to do? I do know this:

“HOW THEN WILL THEY CALL ON HIM IN WHOM THEY HAVE NOT BELIEVED? HOW WILL THEY BELIEVE IN HIM WHOM THEY HAVE NOT HEARD? AND HOW WILL THEY HEAR WITHOUT A PREACHER? HOW WILL THEY PREACH UNLESS THEY ARE SENT? JUST AS IT IS WRITTEN, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!” ROMANS 10:14-15 NIV
