John Schmitt, Dark Fiber & Infrastructure’s Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, sat down with JSA TV during Metro Connect 2022 to provide an update on DF&I’s latest fiber builds. The team, which recently completed a 65-mile fiber route between southern Maryland and Ashburn’s “Data Center Alley,” is also expanding south from Ashburn, creating a new dark fiber and dedicated conduit ring. 

“We’re not solving for a future demand,” John says. “We’re solving a supply issue.”
