1 Corinthians 2:14-16 ESV
How do you respond to those who are actively opposed to God? With anger? Hatred? The mind of Christ enables us to respond with loving kindness and leads to ministry.
In 1 Corinthians 2, we are introduced to Rahab, who was a sinner, living a life of dishonor among an idolatrous people. She was exactly the type of person the Israelits were supposed to avoid. And yet, the spies sent into the land by Joshua made a covenant with her. Rather than focusing on her sin, they looked past it to recognize that the Spirit was working in her heart. As a result, they made a covenant with her, which led to her blessing, the Israelites being blessed, and ultimately to the further the kingdom of God on earth. How do we apply this to our lives? We should be mindful that faith is a gift from God; remember to cultivate a heart for those outside the church; and speak truth in love to those in the world.

English Standard Version
14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. 16 “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
