In this episode of the Awesome Advisor Podcast, I sit down with my friend Sam, owner and founder of The Ground Lounge in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Sam shares her journey from discovering yoga at 19 to building a multi-floor wellness haven offering red light therapy, infrared sauna, cold plunges, PEMF grounding mats, a halo therapy salt and sound room with a vibrational sound bed, and intimate grounding-focused yoga. We explore how grief, anxiety, and chronic inflammation guided her into hemp-based wellness through Meditative Medicinals, and how she now blends movement, breathwork, clean water education, mineral-rich sea moss, detox support, and energy practices to help people heal holistically. We also get practical: why red light panels differ from infrared saunas, how PEMF mats help reduce EMFs and calm the nervous system, the mental and recovery benefits of cold plunging (and when to be cautious), and the profound relaxation of the theta-state sound lounge—plus upcoming gentle “comeback to the mat” yoga programs and kids’ workshops. If you’re craving a grounded reset or tools beyond pills—think breath, movement, minerals, and frequency—this conversation is your invitation to reconnect with yourself and experience wellness as a way of life. https://www.thegroundlounge.com/. https://meditativemedicinals.com/
