BEERS: Morgan Snyder, the founder and head brewer of Buttonwoods Brewery, brings a unique perspective to the beer world. Buttonwoods, one of Rhode Island’s newer breweries (approaching 4 years of age), specializes in well-hopped IPA’s and out-of-the-box saisons, and it all stems from Morgan’s commitment to passionate & well-thought-out brewing processes. We discuss Morgan’s background in hospitality, making the jump to the beer world, and try “Sense of Place,” Buttonwoods’ signature peach saison...the logo was made by his mom!
BUSINESS: Just when we thought travel is coming back to normal, a European airline runs into some trouble; Ryanair, the low-cost Irish airline, thinks the country of Belaurs legitimately hijacked their plane this week! On a flight from Athens, Greece to Lithuania, the plane was intercepted and forced to land by Belarus fighter jets. It turns out, a passenger on the plane was wanted on multiple charges in Belarus; when they landed, he was arrested, but MULTIPLE people did not return to the plane when it re-boarded. Is this a coincidence, or did we just witness one of the most crazy hijacking attempts of all time? In the crypto world, things are more saturated than ever with plenty of new memes-turned-currencies. BALLS: We made it to NBA Playoff season, which obviously means we need to debate if the play-in tournament is good or awful for the game. We also discuss the rise of no-hitters in the MLB; there are now six no-no’s this year, only one away from tying the record for an entire season. Is this good for the game of baseball, and can it help its dying reputation?
