Originally from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut he was drafted 98th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2001 NHL draft becoming the 1st Inuk to play in the NHL. Super interesting guy with one hell of a story we talk culture shock coming truly from the great white north, racism even at the NHL level, and the role he played to earn a spot day in day out.
