Redefining Ministry Success in Student Ministry

Rob Conti examined the common reasons so many student pastors feel unsuccessful in ministry and how we should align our definition of ministry success with a biblical standard.

There is a danger of adopting worldly views on yourself when it comes to your ministry.  We tend to view success through the approval of man.

How does Scripture define success? Not numbers. Not approval of man. We're held accountable by God. Live in faithfulness towards the Lord. Be faithful to the Word of God and to His character.

"For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe." (1 Timothy 4:10)

Six key reminders:

1. Be obedient to God's word.
2. Serve God and others.
3. Love God.
4. Love His people.
5. Believe His word.
6. Spend time in prayer.
