Welcome to the 2022 Key Chapters of the Bible Podcast! Starting today, we're back in Genesis 1 for another run through God's Word together! Life's biggest questions can be answered by God's Word. Questions like, "Who am I?" "How did I get here?" "What is the meaning of Life?" "How do I have happiness?" The answers to those questions (and many more) are found in a right understanding of God's Word. Today we begin that study in Genesis 1. Join us!

GENESIS KEY CHAPTERS DISCUSSION AND THOUGHT QUESTIONS: The following discussion questions can stand alone or be used in conjunction with the Key Chapters podcast. They can be used in a Small Group, family discussion, or for personal reflection. The idea is that the person/group/family will have read the Key Chapter and then answer the questions. Perhaps there would be time to listen to the podcast as well.

1. The podcast spoke about how Genesis 1 describes trillions of actions in clear, accurate terminology that can be understood by all people. What does this tell us about the nature of God and His intent to communicate His message to mankind? 2. How does the podcast answer the question: Who made God? 3. In reading Genesis 1, and listening to the podcast, what is God like? How is this similar or different than people typically think about Him? 4. Throughout this passage, God’s creation takes place over 6 days. How should these days be understood? 5. What is God’s summary after every day of creation (except for the Seventh Day)? What does this tell us about the nature and result of His work? 6. When you first realized that God created the light before He created the Sun and Moon, did that surprise you? Did it cause you to question God’s Word? How does our understanding of God’s glory relate to the order in which He created light? 7. What are some possible reasons why God refers to Himself in the plural in verse 26? 8. What does Genesis 1:27 mean when it says that mankind was created in God’s image? What does this not mean? 9. In Genesis 1:28, the Lord commands mankind to “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.” What reasons are given in the podcast for mankind to “fill the earth”? How does this relate to verse 27? 10. The podcast mentioned that this chapter shows us what is “most important.” What are some important take-aways from this chapter?
