There are stigmas surrounding certain populations such as those struggling with addiction, trauma, and incarceration. This week, Mike Walsh and Mary McCusker chat with Jo Anne Farrell, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Camden's addiction healing coordinator, who addresses these issues, and how and why the Church should be responding to them with a pastoral approach.
Jo Anne, who is a registered nurse and a parish nurse instructor, shares her unique insights as someone who brings her Catholic faith to her profession and her vocation as she works with families and individuals suffering from addiction and mobilizes other Catholics to support them. Tune in to learn more about her work, as well as the I THIRST initiative which is gaining traction across so many parishes in the Camden Diocese.
