We recently sat down with Virginia artist PG Strap for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he discussed how his life has been in 2021 and going hard with music in 2022, growing up in a small city like a Roanoke, the city being overlooked musically, feeling as though he’s the most hated in the city, his childhood growing up, jumping off the porch at 10/11, the meaning behind his name PG, losing three of his loved ones, how he’s been coping with their deaths, being affected by losing his brother to cancer, getting his shows shut down, the police pulling up to his house and telling him to move, getting shot and learning how to navigate after that, getting his start in music at the early age of 6, seeing his uncles rap and being influenced by that, being influenced by Chief Keef, Lil Durk, Pooh Shiesty, spending his last investing into his own studio, his hit single “Big Dog”, going through trials during his recent single “Nobody’s Perfect”, his project “Everybody Hates Strap” and much more!
