It did not take long for the smack talk to begin. As the Lions get ready to take on the Bucs for the right to go to the NFC Title game, Detroit safety CJ Gardner-Johnson ripped on Bucs QB Baker Mayfield saying “if you give that Tampa Group (Mike Evans and Chris Godwin) a good quarterback, thats a great group.” Gardner-Johnson doesn’t believe Mayfield is good and Baker responded yesterday in his meeting with the media. Also, former Lions cornerback Darius Slay, who now plays for the Eagles was asked about Detroit finally winning a playoff game and he went off on the fans that booed Matthew Stafford. Slay believes Matthew did a lot for Detroit and he deserved a standing ovation instead of the boos from the fans. Slay even went as far to say that, just like Matthew he is happy for the players who won a playoff game but not the city or their fans. Jeff Riger brings you all the details on the latest episode of The Daily Ticket.
