Billie Eilish has dropped a new album but people on the Internet are being cruel (*insert Leave Billie Alone meme*). One of her songs has stuck out to us and leads us into a conversation around work fulfillment and optimising ourselves as brands. 

Jas references her article for Fashion Journal titled ‘Why The That Girl TikTok Trend Is More Sinister Than It Seems’ and we read from Laura Pitcher’s article for iD titled ‘Girl Boss culture Isn’t Dead It’s Rebranded As “That Girl” Now’.

American rapper DaBaby made homophobic remarks on stage in Miami this week proving that decades later stigma around the HIV/ Aids crisis has been passed down through generations.  

Finally, we have two stellar recommendations, both critiquing capitalism. Isabelle Truman reads from her piece Eat The Rich? It’ll Cost You – How Anti-Capitalism Has Been Sold Back To Us for the newly launched Refinery29 Australia while Genevive Phelan reads us a snippet from her article, Why I Don’t Think There’s Such A Thing As A Dream Job Anymore for Fashion Journal.
