If you’ve been to a diocesan Mass anytime in the last few years, you’ve very likely seen a young, curly-haired cantor with a beautiful voice. However, you might not know that her name is Abigail Walsh.
As the countdown to Christmas continues, Mike and Pete sit down with this talented, opera-trained singer, to discuss the path that led to her current role as Director of Music Ministry at Bellmawr’s Saint Joachim Parish.
We also do a deep dive into the music of the Advent and Christmas seasons. Abigail shares with the listeners some fun history of classic tunes such as “Silent Night,” and the local connection of “O Little Town of Bethlehem”; how she prepares for each liturgy; and the importance of all the faithful lifting their voices to God.
And don't forget, we're just a week away from our 100th Episode live taping is coming up on December 14th! Make sure you register for this free event now:
