Episode 248: William "Billy" Martin - Former New York City Firefighter & September 11th, 2001 Survivor

On this episode Derek sits with William "Billy" Martin.  Billy is a former New York City Firefighter.  As part of the "Derek Duvall Show 9/11 Outreach Program", I learned about his story of surviving the World Trade Center disaster and extended an offer for him to come on the show and tell his story.  Billy will discuss enlisting in the US Navy and then what led him to become a New York City Fireman.  He will then take us through his entire horrific experience on September 11th, 2001 including what he calls “The Divine Intervention” that saved his own and many other firemen’s lives.  We will also discuss the aftermath of the disaster such as working on "The Pile" and much more. This is an incredible story and I feel you will be very moved and inspired.
